Message

 From The

Master

How may times have you needed a petition and had to find the Secretary or someone who had one?  The Grand Lodge has developed pocket-sized petitions.  These are great to have one tucked away in your wallet.  You never know when the opportunity will arise and you'll need it.  Come to Lodge and see the Secretary for one to carry in your wallet.  As you can see by the list of recently deceased brethren and those who attained the 50 year milestone, our membership is aging.  Unfortunately new membership has not kept pace with those we have lost.  Brethren,  we hold the future of our lodge in our own hands; collectively, we control our own destiny.  I implore each of you to actively seek a friend, a relative, a neighbor or coworker who you feel would make  good Mason and invite him into our great fraternity.  If you have not been to lodge in a while, we still hold Stated Meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm.  Our meetings are always preceded by some type of meal (or fresh road kill) prepared by our Junior Warden, Mickey Frost (and it's rumored there have been a few hands of euchre )played before and after the meeting!)

Memorial

Services

One of the most important services that we provide to our members is the Masonic Funeral Services.  I am asking that each of you that live in the Nashville area to take this very seriously.  Please arrive at the designated location 10 to 15 minutes early when summoned for a funeral service.

It is with deep regret that we announce the following Brethren have been called home by the Grand Architect:

Billy Hugh Bond - 10-01-05

James Ray Davis - 11-04-05

Paul Frederick Bartley - 11-07-05

Jack Donald Eads - 11-29-05

John Abraham Eyed - 12-24-05

James 'Giz' Whitaker - 2-24-06

John Henry Gredy - 2-25-06

Keith Gordon Alberts - 5-27-06

Leonard Donald Percifield - 6-16-06

Max Roy Henderson III - 10-9-06

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of these fine Brethren.

Dues

After much consternation and much regret, you will see an increase in your dues for 2007.  The Grand Lodge increased our annual assessment and the Lodge is unable to cover this increase without passing it along to our members.  This increase still keeps our total dues much lower than many other lodges.  Brethren please do not procrastinate getting your dues in on time.  It seems we are always calling the same two dozen members every year who are late.  As always if you are having financial difficulties, please do not hesitate to let the Lodge know so we can remit your dues.

Donations

The below list are things that a member could sponsor or help pay for or if there is a fund set aside for special projects.  At the right is a list of various items that would benefit our Lodge.  You may donate an item, for a special item or to our building fund or general fund.  Your donation may be announced or anonymous, per your request.

Needed items include: Small Freezer, Microwave Oven, Large Cooking Pots, Drip Coffee Pot, Locking Glass Display Case, Resurfacing the Drive and Parking Lot,  New Carpet in Dining Room.

Membership

Talk to your worthy friends about Masonry.  Carry pocket petitions with you.  You can get pocket petitions from your Secretary.
